Our History: Honoring the Past, Redefining the Future

Our history — vintage roadside scene with a neon "Royale MOTEL" arrow, U-shaped single-story motel units, a "RESTAURANT" storefront, a classic car, and trees under a blue sky.

Decades ago, the Myer-Lee property stood as a welcoming roadside motel and restaurant along Highway 421 — a familiar stop for travelers and locals passing through Winston-Salem. Known for its friendly atmosphere and classic mid-century charm, it offered weary travelers a warm meal and a comfortable place to rest. For many, it became more than just a stop along the highway — it was a small yet memorable landmark woven into the city’s history and the everyday rhythm of the community.

Today, that same structure has been thoughtfully restored and reimagined as The Myer-Lee Building — a 4,000 sq. ft. modern commercial space tailored for professionals, entrepreneurs, and growing businesses. The renovation retains the building’s recognizable mid-century form while introducing clean lines, natural light, and contemporary finishes that reflect today’s work culture. The result is a bright, inspiring environment that blends the charm of its past with the functionality of modern design — a true symbol of how innovation can honor history while creating space for what’s next.
